INTRODUCING..... The EYEWITNESS challenge

The A'TAHSAIA Council is pleased to announce the first contest of it's kind!!   The EYEWITNESS challenge is now underway, and we're looking for all artists, sketchers, doodlers, schooldesk art creators, and anyone else that loves to draw!!

The rules of the contest are very simple!  All you have to do is use your imagination!  The contest rules go as follows:

First, read the short story above to get your creative side in the mood.  You may want to check out the TRAILER for The A'tahsaia Project first!

Next, get out some pencil and paper, or Photoshop and your drawing tablet.

Create for the Council, your own artistic interpretation of what the man-beast A'tahsaia looks like.  Let your imagination go wild! The more creative the drawings, the better!  We would ask one thing:  Only create black and white pencil-style drawings.  Here's a description of A'tahsaia to help you out as well!

"...You're finally getting that extra day off of work that you've been looking for!  You decide to take your friends and hike out to the wilderness to spend a nice, quiet afternoon hiking the mountains of the desert southwest.  You're about half an hour in to your hike when you hear it... That deathly howl of a beast causes the hair on your neck to stand on end, and your body to freeze in terror... You have heard the evil cry of the man-beast known as A'tahsaia... You catch a glimpse through the rocky terrain ahead of the enormous creature... After escaping with your life, you go to the authorities to tell them about what you have seen.  In between fits of despair and sips of the free soda from the police, you realize;  The only way you can show them what you saw is by creating a sketch of the monster from the image of the beast that is imprinted in to your brain..."

A'TAHSAIA (the cannibal demon)

the zuni devil living in the mountains consuming mankind

In the Northwestern part of the United States, there is a legend. Of a beast so massive and hairy that it can't possibly be a human. But, it walks on two feet.  We are talking about, of course, sasquatch or Bigfoot. This creature has become more an entertainment piece than monster in recent years.

The Zuni people, would disagree.  You see, there is a demon.  An ancient beast that has tormented the men women and children of the tribe for thousands of years.  It is a beast so horrific, noone would dare go near the mountains where A'Tahsaia's cave resides.  He is most well known for his need to feast on the flesh of all mankind.
